Done-for-You Help for Solopreneurs
Helping Solopreneurs Shine Through a Bio Make-Over
Yesterday I was thinking about solopreneurs of a seasonal kind: Santa Clauses. Looking at childhood photos of my siblings and me perched on the laps of unknown men disguised as St. Nick, made me wonder about these individuals featured in treasured family photographs, gazed at year after year, yet completely unknown.

I remember reading in a beautiful holiday magazine about one such gentleman whose story of how he came to play this role was filled with serendipitous events unfolding in truly magical ways. It made him so real and no less mysterious for knowing a bit of his story.
What’s your solopreneur story? Were there serendipitous events that unfolded in truly magical ways to bring you to your work with passion? If you’ve simply plucked some copy off your resumé and pasted it into ‘About’ on your web site, you could be foregoing a rich opportunity to introduce your heart-centered self to the online world.
Does your current bio let your potential clients:
- know what brought you to your work of wanting to make the world a better place through your products and services?
- see your authentic self, your uniqueness, and your work-with-passion expertise that you bring to your particular community?
- resonate with the “one of you in all time and space” through words that are filled with the essence of who you are?
Let your light shine bright! Make sure your bio captures your signature self and your visionary work so your tribe can find you.
Check out a sample of a Done-for-You bio makeover I wrote for one of my clients, then contact me if you’d like some help creating one for you with the kindly eye of an outside ally.
Until next time …

Hi Jana, I LOVED reading your thoughts about department store Santas. You have a way of illuminating quiet but significant truths – a talent that was consistently evident in working with you on my bio. Thank you again for the makeover!
